I’m Laura Sisco, founder of Powerhouse Financial Group.
I started Powerhouse Financial Group in 2015 during a season when I was searching for a better way forward. As a single mom, I wanted to provide for my daughter, stay present in her life, and help families, especially seniors, feel supported and secure through life insurance and final expense coverage.
What began as a practical step slowly grew into a deeper purpose.
Before insurance, I worked as a server and bartender and earned a degree in Film, expecting my career to unfold in the entertainment world. While that path didn’t develop the way I once imagined, it shaped me in meaningful ways, teaching me how to communicate, connect, tell stories, and lead with intention. Those lessons now influence how I support and develop people inside our agency.
Over the past decade, Powerhouse has helped thousands of families gain peace of mind through life insurance. Along the way, I realized I was just as passionate about helping people build opportunity as I was about protecting families.
